WAR Tobys Troubadour the Appaloosa
|
Big leopard spots like the ones sported by Toby don't happen by accident; they are the result of years of careful breeding of Foundation Leopard Appaloosas. Toby is a 100% Foundation Bred Appaloosa.
A foundation Appaloosa is a horse whose bloodlines are free of large quantities of Quarter Horse, Thoroughbred or Arabian crossbreeding. To be registered as a Foundation Appaloosa, the animal in question must have at least 75% Appaloosa blood. In addition the horse must be negative for the greying gene, must be HYPP negative/negative and free of paint horse characteristics.
With 100% Appaloosa only lineage, Toby more than meets these requirements. Foundation Appaloosas will also occasionally exhibit the Indian Shuffle gait.
